Lesley Flanigan

Speaker Synth + Solo Voice

Wednesday, July 29 7pm

cell31Speaker Synth, is a series of instrument sculptures built from speakers and wood that play the sounds of feedback. Exploring the relationship between noise, voice, and amplification, artist, vocalist, and performer Lesley Flanigan uses microphones, electricity, and her own voice as a means to create the physical embodiment of sound. Building musical compositions and sound installations made entirely of speaker feedback and her own singing voice, Flanigan’s work explores how people make sense out of nonsense–one noise at a time.
